Our Story

Since 1949, Camera Corner has stood as a Burlington NC institution, originally founded by Dick Thomas who purchased a soda fountain shop from Elon College on Front Street. With a keen passion for photography, the shop quickly evolved into a full-service Camera store, forming the foundation of the company as it exists today. Relocating to South Church St in Burlington during the late 1970s, Mr. Thomas and his wife Mille dedicatedly operated the business and made a positive impact on the lives of many in the local community until the 1990s.
